The Marketing Consultancy Office (Rehabilitation) of Social Welfare Department provides one-stop support service in sourcing quality goods and services provided by the rehabilitation organizations and their social enterprises. A brand name, Support the Employment of People with Disabilities (SEPD) has been established to promote the products and services provided by persons with disabilities in strong partnership with the rehabilitation organisations. Wider use of SEPD will help appeal to public attention and encourage the public to try out the products and services by persons with disabilities.
Through the Enhancing Employment of People with Disabilities through Small Enterprise Project, Social Welfare Department also provides seed money to non-government organizations to set up small enterprises or businesses for direct creation of employment opportunities for persons with disabilities. Non-government organizations can apply for the fund throughout the year.
