The Technical Aids and Resource Centre of Skills Centre provides advisory and support services for persons with disabilities and employers on special aids and resources to facilitate persons with disabilities in performing duties in their workplace.
Rehabaid Society provides a wide range of services for persons with disabilities and chronic illnesses. Rehabaid Centre, being one of the service units operated by Rehabaid Society, provides specialized rehabilitation services and an information and resource centre on assistive technology to support persons with disabilities in achieving better quality of life in their home and working environment.
The Environmental Advisory Service (EAS), also operating under the Rehabaid Society, is a community based architectural consultancy service which provides specialist information and consultation service on the environmental needs of persons with disabilities – the physically disabled, the sensory disabled (including the partially sighted), the mentally ill and the mentally handicapped and also of the elderly.
Social Welfare Department currently manages The Central Fund for Personal Computers and The Jockey Club IT Scheme for People with Visual Impairment to provide financial assistance to persons with disabilities to acquire computer facilities and aid to meet their employment needs.
For government employees with disabilities, the Government has established a central fund to finance the purchase of technical aids to facilitate their performance of duties.
